The Image of the U.S. Embassy engulfed in flames in Belgrade, Serbia traveled quickly across the world. Serbian protesters against the American support for Kosovo's independence ravaged the fiery symbol of the western world. They were expressing their feelings about losing land they consider the origins of their state and religion. Not every Serbian's actions were inspired by such political and religious conviction.
