Michael Richards' Racist Rant

While performing standup at an LA comedy club, Michael Richards has a complete meltdown that is captured by this cellphone camera. Angered by a table of black patrons he thought were being disrespectful, the beloved Cosmo Kramer of "Seinfeld" went on a tirade that shocked the whole country. You sense that he first went over the line in a burst of anger and then was trying to be edgy in an attempt to save himself. Finally he walks offstage, but not soon enough. Kyle Doss, one of the members of the group that Richards was angry with, later explained what had happened. He said that they had arrived in the middle of the performance and that, "I guess we're being a little loud, because there was 20 of us ordering drinks. And [Richards] said, 'Look at the stupid Mexicans and blacks being loud up there.'" Richards then continued with his routine.
