As Polls Open for New Hampshire, Frontrunners Surge Ahead

It's amazing how the tide can change. As polls opened in New Hampshire for the primary election, Senators Barack Obama and John McCain took an early lead. Obama was originally expected to finish with a double-digit lead over Hillary Clinton, but as the votes poured in, Clinton defied predictions and ultimately won New Hampshire. As for McCain? McCain's victory in New Hampshire was a tad more straightforward, but in some ways, his victory was no less surprising, as many politicos expected Mitt Romney, a New Hampshire favorite, would come out on top.
