It's official, Alex Rodriguez will be a free agent, and he almost certainly will not return to the Yankees. But it wasn't just enough for A-Rod to get all the attention during the offseason, A-Rod had to steal headlines at the World Series, opting out the evening the Red Sox swept the Rockies aside.
