The Daily Tube review
This creative and thought-provoking video by Kansas State university professor Michael Wesch, looks at the evolution of information, from basic cataloguing to the blogging revolution. The Internet has taken away the hierarchy and given the power to the people, which was made apparent with the recent protests in Myanmar. Fearful of the Internet serving as a link to the international community, the restrictive regime cut off many people's internet access. The public became the most reliable news source and was able to share images, videos and personal accounts of the violence and human rights violations.
