Jack Black's "Be Kind Rewind"

We don't like to be hyperbolic here at The Daily Tube but "Be Kind Rewind" might end up being the greatest film ever captured on celluloid. Doubtful? Jack Black becomes magnetized and accidentally erases all of the videotapes at the rental shop run by his buddy Mos Def. HIs solution? Reshoot movies like "Ghostbusters," "Boyz in the Hood," "The Lion King" and "Robocop" with the budgets, acting and special effects of a YouTube production. And become cult heroes in the process. Directed by the whimsical Michel Gondry ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"), "Be Kind Rewind" has an off-kilter, genuis plot that could make movies worth seeing, and life worth living again...Hyperbole aside, it opens 1/25/08.
