The Daily Tube review

In the first few years of the old Late Night with David Letterman on NBC, it often felt like total television anarchy. You never knew what was going to happen and the more ridiculous, the better. This bit, wherein Larry “Bud” Melman hands out hot towels at the Port Authority Bus Station, is a classic. Keep in mind, this is Times Square IN 1983, where a mugging was expected and folks were a lot more suspicious of strangers than in today’s corporate playground. Melman kills it and busts Letterman up in the process. "You got any questions about New York City?"  (by Patrick Sauer) Running Time: 5:59
