Sure, it's no longer accurate, but Barack Obama did make an impassioned video plea to the IOC, trying to convince them to send the 2016 Olympics to Chicago. The reason why it's no longer accurate, of course, is because he's now making the pitch in person, hoping to land the most important (if not the most significant; that's the World Cup folks) sporting event for his hometown. It's not a bad pitch, though we wonder how King Juan Carlos of Spain rolling up in his own special jet might sway voters toward Madrid. Hey, we'd be swayed by a private jet. You?
