SNL kicked off its new season right where you'd expect, Thursday at 8 p.m. Whatever. The important thing is that the half-hour version banged out some big laughs. The two best moments are presented in one clip.
First up, Joe Wilson gets sold down the river by his GOP mates. "We'll all yell YOU LIE!" Whoops. Sorry, Joe. (You know who isn't that sorry? Joe Wilson. Rude behavior lines the coffers.)
It's followed by James "Snakeface" Carville's response. He sets the record straight on tea parties, creepy janitors and clever midgets.
Take a bow, Bill Hader. You didn't waste the summer months.
