Tomorrow night, when you sit down with your fantasy friends, err football "team," take a minute to remember those who made the NFL what it is today. Long before the Steelers, Titans, Heineken personal kegs and the Black Eyed Peas were players like Billy "The Gun" Van Goff. Back when men were men and the game was played in black-and-white, gridiron greats wore leather helmets, drank blood and/or whiskey, worked as cigarette pitchmen in the off-season and carried pistols on the playing field. Van Goff had a cannon for an arm and a firearm that he wielded like a cannon.
Today's modern pansies never had to eat a bullet. They have it so easy.
