Mickey Rourke was all but guaranteed the Academy Award for Best Actor going into the Oscars, but it was Sean Penn who held the trophy high at the end of the night. Penn, who has softened over the years, thanked his peers, praised Rourke's comeback, and complemented the "elegant" president which America has elected.
