Lane pulls the Bette Midler-serenading-Johnny Carson routine in a farewell tribute. Considering Conan is only changing hometowns and time slots, it isn't quite Midler's tearjerking Hero, but it shouldn't be. Lane sings what the Late Night crowd wants, a nostalgic song rife with gay sex, pompadour insults and fond recollections of things Triumph pooped on.
