Sir Paul McCartney may endorse Dalai Lama cannibalism, but he was the "cute" Beatle, so Stephen's giving him a pass. Now that Colbert is officially part of the band, why sing Ebony & Ivory with the Walrus? That doesn't jibe with our new post-racial universe, it seems more like the good old days of colonialism...

It's all good guv'nuh, so long as Colbert is able to finish his four-part series "Better Know A Beatle." Ringo Starr is probably in the studio audience right now, but it's going to take a lot more than Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds to get a sit-down with George Harrison and John Lennon.
