Maybe we're too critical here -- this clip is meticulously edited and spliced, after all -- but it strikes us that the teaser intro to the World Series on Wednesday night was a bit over the top. Sure, the war in Iraq and the economy aren't looking all that hot, but we're not sure that the way to get people to focus on the glory of competition rather than their own tight pocketbooks is by having them watch this tinted remembrance of harball's glory. Maybe we're wrong, and maybe one montage will draw viewers into a series that analysts have pegged as a likely bottom dweller in terms of ratings.
