The Daily Tube review
The 100-meter final, a race which unofficially determines the world's fastest man, was supposed to be a mano-a-mano showdown between Jamaica's Usain Bolt and Tyson Gay of the U.S. When Gay failed to qualify because of a lack of training from a gimpy hamstring, the final became a one-man event. Bolt didn't disappoint, easily winning the 100 in a world record 9.69 seconds. More amazingly, the 21-year old Bolt, who has only been running the 100 for a year, pratically jogged the final 30 meters because of his insurmountable lead. Even more terrifying: the 100 isn't even his best event. That's the 200-meters, which he is a shoe-in to win later this week.
