The Associated Press reported that the well-heeled are instructing their personal shoppers to search for the best deals, not the most lavish. (Audible gasp.) When the rich get thrifty, the poor have to lap up their crumbs. Colbert explains the "dribble-down effect," but lets his wealthy comrades know that there are still ridiculous items to be bought...
