Perhaps that's a bit of wishful thinking by the "Hoops du Jour" crowd, but there have been interesting developments on Barack's world tour. Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki told a German magazine he agreed with Obama's 16-month troop withdrawal timetable, which didn't sit so well with the George W. Bush and Senator McCain. Naturally, Der Spiegel "mistranslated" the statement according to the White House. In effect, Maliki later told Bush & Co. to pound sand, as he was speaking to Iraqi citizens.
