Admit it, the man was on to something. And if George Carlin was right, if football really does identify with paramilitary progress while baseball focuses on home life and the pleasures of the common man, should the rise in the NFL's popularity be seen as a by-product of a society focused on wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Or should those wars AND the dominant sport in our culture be seen as part of a larger syndrome? More importantly, is this discussion WAY too deep for consideration on a post on The Daily Tube? If so, doesn't Carlin deserve all the credit for provoking this from a satirical video site? What a subtle genius. (by Cameron Smith)Running Time:4:48
