We post this video as a tribute to Kermit Love, co-creator of the Sesame Street character, Big Bird (and his imaginary cohort Mr. Snuffleupagus.) Jim Henson did the original sketches, but it was Love who built every kid's favorite feather friend. Love died Friday of heart failure. We offer this AP interview with "the man behind the feathers," Caroll Spinney. The duo were good friends. So good, in fact, that Kermit Love somehow convinced Spinney that he should dress up like Big Bird and he's still wearing the 8-foot-2 suit at the ripe old age of 74.
