It seems appropriate that Rick Reilly, a man who became a celebrity by relishing the untold stories of overlooked athletes, would spend one of his first major ESPN cameo on a golfer who was supposed to be trounced by Tiger, yet somehow summoned a performance that gave us one of the greatest golf playoffs of all time. As Reilly says, here's to Rocco Mediate. Let's hope the 2008 U.S. Open isn't the last we hear of him.
