Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair are old WWE rivals, so it wasn't the biggest surprise that the two got into a heated battle. What was surprising was that the fireworks started long before either was in the ring, with Flair snapping and decking Hogan during a press conference for their Sydney event. Hogan's hangers-on swear he had no idea the attack was coming, all of which makes Flair's attack even more drastic.

<title>"Le Hand" Sends France to the World Cup</title>

First off, let's give some credit to France striker Thierry Henry: He committed an infraction, and he owned up to it. Unfortunately for Ireland, he didn't get a chance to own up to it until after the final whistle, when France had officially eliminated the Irish from World Cup contention while booking their own ticket. An inadvertent Henry handball in extra time of the second and final leg of the France-Ireland two-leg World Cup playoff eliminator directly led to the tie-winning goal, which sent Ireland and most of the football world into an uproar. It may not be Diego Maradona's "Hand of God", but it's already starting to look pretty close, with the Irish openly campaigning for a replay. No word on that yet, but you have to feel for Henry, an honorable superstar who seems like he'll be dogged by one random moment of bad (or terrific, depending on your viewpoint) luck for the remainder of his career.

You know how Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin always jumps into the boards to celebrate his goals? Sure you do. Well, so does Swedish second-tier star Henrik Anderson, who tried his best AO imitation earlier this week with drastically less successful results ... and a near shoulder injury. Hey, sometimes you gotta scale back the gusto kiddo.

There have been some great trick plays diagramed over the years, but few are more exciting than the Statue of Liberty. The play that won Boise State the Fiesta Bowl may have been even better executed by tiny Bethel College, as you can see in this clip. It just goes to show that a great trick play is a great trick play, regardless of the level its run at.

Of all the dances to do at your wedding, do you really want to be performing the sack dance of a probable murderer? Look, we've got nothing against the Ravens ... or Baltimore in general ... but something about an all jersey wedding screams of, well, Jersey. Also, at the very least, shouldn't the bride be wearing a white "away" jersey? Sheesh.

A quick thought on the relative intelligence of those at Ohio State and Michigan -- and we say this as people who have no discernable connection to either school. You can't be too intelligent if you're way of getting pumped up for the big rivalry game of the season by jumping into a freezing lake. You just can't. Sorry, Ohio State, but this whole Mirror Lake jump thing doesn't bode well.
