March Madness

As March comes to an end, we're left with a nice batch of great March Madness videos.  It seems like everyone winds up getting into it eventually, even Barack Obama!  We're gunna take a look at some of the best March Madness videos we've come across this month.  But first, a hilarious video that shows how important brackets are:

And now for our favorites:

Meet Obama's NCAA Bracket

(Thanks to Cameron Smith)

The commander-in-chief gave us a look at how he thought the tourny was going down, and so far he's been pretty good on his bracket!  Let's hope his guesses with the economy are just as accurate.

NCAA Expands March Madness to Include 4,096 Teams

(Thanks to me)

The Onion realized the importance of giving every university a fair shot in the NCAA tournament, and did this great spoof on expanding the eligibility of schools everywhere.

Buzzer Madness

(Thanks to Patrick Sauer)

This is a great ESPN reel from 2006 that had some of the most exciting moments in the tournament. Try not to scream too loud at your desk while watching this.

The Most Awkward High Five Ever

(Thanks to Cameron Smith)

Cameron said it best: "Leave it to two pompous white guys at universities to create the worst high five in history."

March Madness Brackets at AIG

(Thanks to me)

Here's a great example of how important it is to create a good bracket. If you win at AIG, you could be set for life!

And that about wraps it up.  If you have any funny or amazing NCAA basketball videos you think we should know about, get in touch!  Good luck with your brackets, and we'll see you next time.

The Daily Tube Video Bailout!

This whole bailout thing is getting really tough to navigate.  First there's all this pressure to come up with solutions, and then the bank executives who made the whole mess in the first place are lining up to take bonuses.  Throw in some drama over Tim Geithner, Chris Dodd, and a chuckling Barack Obama and you've got one hell of a conundrum to sort through.  We'll take you through some of the best bailout videos so far, but first let's watch a video that probably sums up everyone's feelings on the whole situation.

Bam!  In your face, bankster!  Now that we got the aggression out, let's have a little time line on how we got to where we are today:

The Dark Bailout Knight

First there was this initial $700 billion package, backed by Hank Paulson, that was supposed to out the flames in light of the housing bubble. Dubya expressed his concerns on the way out the door, and Americans were pretty much freaking out when the Joker started making more sense than the financial system.

Santa Gets a Piece of the Bailout

By the time Christmas came around, even Santa was starting to think of bailout plans! St. Nick insisted that if he didn't get a whole boatload of taxpayers dollars, that toys wouldn't come down the chimney. This is around the time when all kinds of ridiculous bailout ideas came flooding in. All kinds of money-grubbing creeps came out the woodwork.

Auto Bailout Blowout

It became evident that the government was basically giving away money, and everyone wanted a piece. As the first round of the bailout dollars floated away, the best case made by any industry was the auto industry, who almost got their piece of the money before Paulson turned around and refused to say where the money went. Never send a used car salesman to do a bankster's work.

Obama Delivers His Great Big Stimulus

Lo, and behold! The Obamessiah came to save the day, and told the American people not to worry, and that he had a plan. Then it turned out there was a lot of people unhappy with his plan, but eventually he managed to seduce Nancy Pelosi and the rest of America into going along with it. What do we have to lose. anyway?

Financial Suicide

By now, both middle-class wage earners and Wall Street executives are looking to blow their brains out. The government might have to seize banks, which will make a lot of bankers very suicidal. If not, then the banks are probably going to get away with filtering millions into their own pockets just for taking bailout cash and "saving" the economy.

So that's our (sort-of) comprehensive roundup of the worst economic situation since the Great Depression.  No one thought this would end itself overnight, and we'll be here to help you nervously laugh your way through the rest of it.  Got a bailout video we haven't shown?  Give us a shout!  Until next time, have a great recession!

Octo-blogging the OctoMom's Octo-babies

(by Rema Rahman)

Nadya Suleman's story of giving birth to eight babies at once, thanks to some heavy duty in-vitro fertilization, has gripped the daily news media storm for nearly two months now. The headlines have proved to be crazier than Suleman herself, with reports of an Angelina Jolie obsession, a porn offer, backlash from her own parents, and turning down charity help because it didn't offer a deal for a reality show.

Rather than letting you sift through them all, we present to you the 5 OctoMom stories that had us gripping our ovaries.  Hang on!  This is a bumpy ride through a fertilization wonderland.

First, there was the day we met the Octo-Babies:

Meet the Octo Babies!

NBC News scored the first interview with Suleman, which was met with resounding WTF's across the interwebs, when we learned soon after the delivery that she was single, collecting welfare with no job, and eerily resembles child-collecting actress, Angelina Jolie.

Meet the Parents:  Octo-Mom Style

OctoMom Vs. Own Mom

After the world got to know OctoMom, we got meet her parents, who are just as befuddled as we are about her motives.  Witness a domestic dispute of octo proportions!

OctoMom Gets Into the Porn Industry:

OctoMom Gets Porn Offer

Nadya Suleman was offered $1 million to star in a porno where she would have sex with eight men. Get it, because she had eight babies? Suleman turned down the offer, not even accepting their follow-up offer of cloth diapers "because they leak." Gee, can Vivid Entertainment do anything right?

Birth Tape Shopped?:

Octomom Births Caught on Tape

After a picture of a pregnant Suleman surfaced, rumors of a video of her giving birth being shopped around for $1 million dollars made their natural rounds on the internet. No word yet on if this actually true, or if the video exists, but Jimmy Kimmel gave us a pseudo-preview.

Octo-mom's 911 call:

Octomom Calls 911

For a minute, we thought she deserved sympathy for this one. Freaking out over your son missing is serious and understandable. Threatening to kill yourself in front of your other children, however, is not.

Interview Mania: Our Favorite Interview Moments

For obvious reasons, the live interview has long been a staple of popular media as a way to get a closer look at some of the people that influence our crazy culture.  Thanks to the internet, some of the greatest, wackiest, and funniest moments of celebrity interviews have been archived on video sites across the net, and especially here.  TheDailyTube editors now present you with a nice chunk of what we feel are some of the greatest interview moments of all time.

Letterman Rips Apart Confused Joaquin Phoenix

Sure! Let's start with something current. The Joaquin Phoenix interview shown here has been a hot topic for a while now, and it's hard not to love Letterman's disdainful attitude towards the weirdo actor-turned-terrible-rapper. (Thanks to Michael Reyes)

Tom Cruise Scientology Video

Since Tom Cruise became this big time scientologist, nearly all of his public appearances have become either laughably crazy, or disturbing. This one is the latter. (Thanks to Rema Rahman)

Kellen Winslow Jr. Goes on a Tirade About Being a Soldier

Back when Winslow was with University of Miami, he got into it with a journalist about being so f***ing hardcore that he would kill you because he's a soldier. Strange context, much? (Thanks to Mike Allen)

How Not to Interview John Cusack

We're going to resist making any snide comments about this dumb blonde girl, who is the spokesperson for Failblog, totally blowing her interview with John Cusack right off the bat. Wait, she's not the spokesperson for Failblog? (Thanks to Michael Reyes)

The Potato Chip Lady

Johnny Carson was a legendary for a reason. His ability to find the most bizarre people in the world was unparalleled for his time. Here's one of his greatest. (Thanks to Patrick Sauer)

Gary Busey Interviews a Nutjob....Himself

No one's doubting you, Gary. You are definitely one of the all-time most bizarre celebrities that has ever gazed out into the bay only to be fake-surprised by an interviewer. (Thanks to me)

Andy Kaufman Gets Bitch Slapped

Undoubtedly one of the crazy moments in Dave Letterman's history, Andy Kaufman gets slapped right in the neck brace by Jerry Lawler. Hilarity ensues. (Thanks to Michael Caruso)

Sarah Palin in Turkey Gate

Who could forget this classic from after the 2008 election? After her and John McCain were defeated, Sarah Palin was spotted at a turkey slaughterhouse and decided it was time to do a little PR. Classic. (Thanks to Rema Rahman)

George McFly Tries to Kill David Letterman

This video pwns all other crazy person interview clips. Crispin Glover is undoubtedly under the influence of something very powerful here, and David Letterman, once again, fears for his life. (Thanks to Patrick Sauer)

And there you go.  We know you must be sitting there thinking, "Well what about that time..."  So, let us know what's missing.  There's zillions of great interview clips out there, and we wanna see 'em!  Until next time, happy tubing!

The Bobby Jindal/ Kenneth the Page Conspiracy

Since Obama's address to Congress, and Bobby Jindal's widely criticized response to it, there have been a ridiculous amount of videos comparing Jindal to Kenneth the Page on the show 30 Rock.  We know you don't have time to go sifting through the thousands of terrible ones, so we came up with the funnies for you:

Did you find anything better than what we came up with?  Let us know, and if you're a video maker, let's capitalize on this comparison thing together!  Politics + 30 Rock = Lolz <3
